Tucked away in the center of one of my favorite refuges, Baguio, I just discovered a culinary gem that has since earned a permanent place on my list of must-visit restaurants. My new happy place is Greyhound Cafe, which is located in SM City Baguio Sunset Terraces and serves delicious Thai food with a delightful Pinoy twist.
The journey began as I stepped into the cozy ambiance of Greyhound Cafe, immediately captivated by the aromatic symphony of Thai spices and the warmth that enveloped the space. Baguio, with its foggy views and chilly air, provided the perfect backdrop for an alfresco dining experience, adding a layer of charm to an already inviting setting.
What caught my attention and fueled my excitement was the revelation of their exclusive menu for the SM City Baguio branch. Yours truly was privileged to have been one of the few selects to try these first. From appetizers to desserts, every dish promised a unique fusion of flavors that I couldn't wait to unravel. As I settled into my seat, the culinary adventure began.

To kick off the feast, the Nam Prik Ong and the Crispy Three Musketeers were first served as appetizers. The Nam Prik Ong, a Thai chili dip, was a burst of spicy goodness that awakened my taste buds. It was the perfect partner for pork crackling. Complementing it were the Crispy Three Musketeers – a trio of tantalizing bites featuring crispy fritter with pumpkin, ube and sweet potato. If you fancy 'okoy', you will love this for sure. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

The main course was a symphony of Thai and Pinoy fusion. The Pineapple Fried Rice, a delightful mix of savory and sweet, stood out as a testament to the creativity of Greyhound Cafe's culinary team. The Spaghetti Nam Prik Ong, Miang Crispy Pork Belly and Yum Spicy Wing Beans were a mouthful to pronounce, but an even more delightful mouthful to savor. I really enjoyed the Yum Spicy Wing Beans. I love eating anything cooked in coconut milk and theirs was the perfect balance of sweetness, saltiness, rich coco milk and Thai chilies.

As I delved into dessert, Greyhound Cafe continued to impress. The Strawberry Loy Kaew, a Thai-style candied strawberry dessert, was a refreshing and visually appealing treat. The Strawberry Panna Cotta added a creamy note to the symphony of flavors, while the Be Go Moi, brought a sweet conclusion to the culinary journey. The Be Go Moi is like a deconstructed 'halo-halo' but of glutinous rice and coco cream.

To wash down this delectable feast, I asked for a Citrus Soda Float – a refreshing beverage that served as a perfect palate cleanser between courses. The Greyhound Cafe team had truly curated an exclusive menu that not only showcased the authenticity of Thai cuisine but also celebrated the local palate with a Pinoy twist.

Of course, you can also enjoy the Pomelo Salad and their Pad Thai. These are offered across all the branches of Greyhound Cafe in the Philippines.
What sets Greyhound Cafe apart is not just the outstanding menu but also the thoughtful incorporation of alfresco dining. As I enjoyed my meal amidst the foggy views and cool breeze, it became clear why this spot was quickly becoming a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
