Last Friday, my travel buddies and I went to Tim Ho Wan, SM Megamall. Everyone's been talking about this and we were eager to try their goodies. It was also a post birthday celebration of Blyth (and Celeste) and an advance celebration for me. Chos. Yeah, it was Blyth who shouldered all the expenses. Yi-haaa! :P
Tim Ho Wan is a famous dimsum chain in Hongkong. I was sad I did not try it when I was there this summer. It is rated a Michelin Star Dimsum Restaurant in HK so one is assured of fine quality and taste,
It took us at least an hour before we finally got our seats. But I like the very efficient queing. One can check the menu while waiting which gave us more than enough time to figure what to order.
And then finally..
WE ORDERED:
Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (3pcs)// P145
Prawn Dumpling//P160
Pork Dumpling with Shrimp//P150
Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumpling// P140
Vermicelli Roll with Beef// P160
Rice with Chicken, Sausage and Mushroom// P170
Pork Ribs Rice// P170
WHAT WE LOVED:
The baked bun with BBQ pork was to die for, Tagged as one of the Big 4 Heavenly Kings, the baked bun was soft and flaky and super tasteful. Really a must-try.
The rice with chicken, sausage and mushroom was good too, The pork ribs rice was a little spicy for our tongue.
The dumplings were flavorful too and I have to mention the Wasabi Salad Prawn Dumpling for capturing my taste buds. It was heaven!
Did you notice the price were a little above a hundred bucks and not over 200?? That's something one's wallet will love!
And who doesn't like Chinese food? :)
IS WORTH THE LONG LINE?
Definitely. I would love to be back again. :)
P.S. The iced tea, we super loved too. And the lamps were cute.
So there.
