Where To Eat in Tagaytay: Aozora Japanese Restaurant

Tagaytay is just some 2-hour drive from Manila. It is the ideal destination for a quick solo getaway or fun family or barkada trip. I love going back to Tagaytay because of its cool weather and quaint vibe.

And so recently, I was back in Tagaytay for another bloggers' getaway. Part of our itinerary was to experience Aozora Japanese Restaurant. It was my first time to visit the place and was eager to taste its offerings.

WOLF DOWN

Aozora Japanese Restaurant offers food that are organic, prepared and cooked in authentic Japanese style by their Japanese chef.

 Dragon Maki// Php 385

 Kani Salad// Php 310

 Mixed Seafood Teppanyaki// Php 550

 Spicy Curry Ramen//Php 350

Aozora Fried Rice// Php 270

I'm a big fan of maki sushi. The various fillings inside the rice- raw or cooked fish, meat or vegetables- is something I could not resist! The Dragon Maki Roll in Aozora is my favorite! As soon as it landed on the table, you can tell I was drooling already! The crunchy texture of shrimp tempura inside the roll enlivened with Japanese mayo were perfect!

The Kani Salad was a joyful jumble of flavor. The colorful vegetables and fresh crabsticks topped with wasabi mayo and sesame dressing for a vivid flavor were a real crowd pleaser. It is proportioned for sharing.

Go heavy on the tummy with the Aozora Fried Rice and the Mixed Seafood Teppanyaki- it's the food of the gods.

Don't forget to try their signature dish- the Aozora Ramen. It's enriched with Tagaytay's favorite 'bulalo' and has this unique and delightful taste.

You can also try a selection of maki, sashimi, katsu dishes, curry dishes, teriyaki, yakiniku and a variety of rice toppings at reasonable prices.

Finish your meal with their 'KEY' Sumiyaki coffee or a cold sake.

THE VIBE

I love the industrial feel of the place. The unfinished look of the concrete walls combined with wooden tables and chairs gave it a zen feel. It is a perfect ambiance for those who crave for extraordinary food in an ultimate dining place. Being here gave us that serene and utterly romantic feel. Whether you want to impress a date or going out with family or group of friends or just being alone- Aozora had you covered.
