They say our country is obsessed with the three B's- boxing, basketball and beauty pageants.
Mrs. Philippines Globe 2015, Sherry Lou Villasenor
We have seen our beautiful ladies won crown in international competitions. Even campuses, provinces, cities and barangays have their own beauty contests.
There's even a pageant for married women and single mothers- the most prestigious of 'em all is the Mrs. Philippines Globe title. Founded in 1996, Mrs.
Globe is one of the biggest international beauty pageants for married women and
single mothers. It celebrates beauty and culture goodwill, tourism awareness,
and charitable acts through pageantry and competition.
Hundreds of married women and single mothers applied to be included in the list of this year's competition but only 17 made it to the cut. For this year, the candidates
vying for the crown are – Darlene Go Conde, Marjorie P. McMurchie, Brooke Irene
Rose Cajita, Niezal V. Cayangan, Madonna Caguioa Naval, Maria Giselle Lyn
Barrion, Maria Theresa Uhlmann, Annalyn Marie Gayatin, Michelle DuyunganBoyero,
Rasha Demonteverde, Timikko Santos, GenieveUy, Fritzie Lexdy Noche, Coleen Hazel

Ranging from 25 to 55
years old, this year’s finalists are composed of women from diverse fields of
expertise: banking, dermatology, aviation, human resource, online business,
beauty, engineering, events, and business process outsourcing.
“Mrs. Philippines
Globe promotes women as symbols of inspiration through their achievements,
charitable acts, and life stories” said national pageant director Carla
Cabrera-Quimpo. “We want them to be movers of society by bringing out their
strengths and encouraging them to be the best versions of themselves.”
Aside from the
coveted Mrs. Philippines Globe title, candidates will also vie for the coveted
Woman of Substance title alongside other special awards such as Achievement of
the Year, Charity or Advocacy of the Year, Best Talent of the Year, Career
Woman of the Year, Most Beautiful Face, Darling of the Press, Entrepreneur of
the Year, Mrs. Body Beautiful, Most Elegant Woman, Personality of the Year,
Husband of the Year, and a new addition to the roster of special awards—the

Meet the 17 equally gorgeous women vying for this year's crown:
Candidates will be
judged based on the following criteria: 35% beauty charm and poise, 35% personality
intelligenceconduct, and 30% figure.
