A Slice of Paradise: Unveiling the Ultimate Stay at Azalea Hotels and Residences Boracay

The Philippines' tropical jewel, Boracay, has long been a popular travel destination for people looking for bright beaches and exciting island life. Boracay is one of my happy places and I'm more than excited to be here for the 5th time. One name sticks out among the myriad of accommodation options: Azalea Hotels and Residences Boracay. Come along on an exploration as I reveal why this sanctuary is more than simply a place to stay—it's an experience unto itself.

Checking In: The Two-Bedroom Suite Extravaganza

Our getaway abode was a two-bedroom suite at the luxurious and elegant Azalea Residences Boracay. A haven of tranquility, the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom that resembles a personal spa retreat. The cherry on top, though, is that there's an extra bathroom, so everyone can enjoy a little luxury.

The rooms were cozy. The bed and mattresses feel premium. It has the right firmness, you bet I slept like a baby. The sheets and linens were fresh and clean. The T & B was immaculate and is complete with toiletries and personal care (comb, shaving cream, razor, shower cap). Our sizeable dresser even has bathrobes and slippers inside. The ironing board and flat iron were a plus. I had clothes that needed some ironing and was convenient to have them in our room.

The living space? It's a warm refuge that's ideal for relaxing after a day of adventures in the sun. The kitchen and dining area? Fully stocked with everything from cookware to eating utensils, it's a gourmet adventure just waiting to be discovered. You can choose to order in or cook up a storm. The bedrooms and the living space have perfectly working AC units ensuring a comfy stay.

Another thing that we really loved is the key watch. Now, we don't have to worry if we forgot to bring the door key card. The key watch is waterproof so it's OK to be worn even when swimming at the beach.

Breakfast Bliss at Kuya J Restaurant

The breakfast buffet at Kuya J Restaurant is a lovely surprise that starts the mornings at Azalea Residences Boracay. Every craving is satisfied, with everything from international favorites to regional specialties. Imagine enjoying a cup of coffee as the island begins to awaken all around you. It's a celebration of the coming day rather than just a meal.

A Lobby to Lounge In, A Pool to Dive Into

The Azalea Residences Boracay offers a comprehensive experience, not simply accommodations. The large, inviting lobby sets the mood for the entire visit. This is more than just a check-in counter; it's the entryway to your island journey. This is also the best area to connect to their Wi-Fi.

Step outside to the deck to see the pièce de résistance: an enticing pool. Nothing beats a cool plunge after a long day of exploration. The deck, overlooking the island's beauty, is not just a poolside; it's a front-row seat to Boracay's charm.

Proximity to Paradise: Steps Away from the Beach

One of the reasons Azalea Residences Boracay reigns supreme is its location – mere steps away from the powdery white sands of Boracay. Forget the hassle of long walks or complicated commutes. This haven is your gateway to the beach, making every sunrise and sunset easily accessible. Going to establishments along the main road is hassle-free. We went to D'Mall on foot or if you wish to ride E-Trikes, it is just right up the alley.

Island Activities to Indulge In

Water Adventures: From parasailing to island hopping, Boracay's waters are a playground for thrill-seekers. I highly recommend trying the helmet diving. You can also try paddle boarding or jet skiing. And don't forget to have your photos taken while at the crystal kayak.

White Beach Strolls: Take leisurely walks along White Beach, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and stunning sunsets. On this trip, we mostly did beach bumming. Morning and evening walks during this low season were kind of therapeutic and a great cardio, too! During the morning, we walked from the hotel to the 'Grotto'. And of course, one should not miss the mesmerizing sunset of Boracay with the 'Paraws' on the waters.

Go an a gastronomic feast. Boracay has a wide array of food offerings. Whether you're looking for unlimited seafood or hankering for local or international cuisines, they have you covered.

Support local. Many locals offer hair braiding and henna tattoo. Don't forget to buy something for pasalubong too. Drop by Stations 2 and 3 for souvenirs to give to your loved ones and friends.

How to go to Boracay

By Air

The fastest route to Boracay is by air. The domestic flight from Manila to Caticlan is less than an hour. There are also direct flights to Caticlan via Clark Airport, Cebu's Mactan International Airport (if you're coming from the Visayas) and via Davao Francisco Bangoy International Airport (if you're coming from Mindanao).

By Ferry

You can also reach Boracay via 2GO Ferry from Batangas Pier. Fare depends on the accommodation you choose. Travel time is around 9 hours from Batangas Pier to Caticlan Jetty Port.

Getting to Boracay Island from Caticlan Jetty Port

After registration and payment of environmental fee and ferry ticket, you will take a short ferry ride to Cagban Jetty Port. From there, you will be picked by a van that will transfer you to your hotel (if you avail of this) or you can ride an e-trike.

A Holiday Haven

Azalea Residences Boracay is a cornerstone of your Boracay vacation, not merely a place to stay. We had a tapestry of memories created by the two-bedroom suite, the delicious breakfasts, the welcoming lobby, and the close proximity to the beach. Special mention to Christian for being so accommodating during our trip. He had us picked up at the Caticlan airport, with welcome leis much to our delight. He assisted us at the port, securing tickets to the speed boat and paying other fees on our behalf. We just have to wait at the special lounge and we didn't have to go through long lines. From Cagban Jetty Port, he chauffeured us to the hotel where we were once again welcomed by the Front Office Manager. Inside our room, they gave us a basket of fruits as a welcome treat. Now
this is a topnotch service. Agree?

Select Azalea Residences when visiting Boracay for a retreat that goes above the ordinary. It's an immersion into the splendor of this island paradise, not just a visit.
