10 Things To Do In Nagsasa Cove, Zambales

Nagsasa Cove has become a popular destination to campers. Who wouldn't fall in love with it's beauty? Picturesque mountains, calm waters, laid back atmosphere.

The ride from Manila to San Antonio was a little over three hours and the boat ride from Pundaquit to Nagsasa was an hour.

And then..

The place is indeed a hidden gem in Zambales. 20 years ago, Mt. Pinatubo spewed ash into this area. Im sure no one had an idea that time that this place will turn out to be the beauty that it is today.

Here's a list of the many things you can do in Nagsasa.

1. Go Camping. There are no lodges nor hotels in this place. Set up your tent and spend a night or two.

2. Swing in a hammock. How lovely it is to watch leaves sway from the breeze! Take the nap you've always wanted or simply let your mind wander.

3.  Trek. An hour (or over, depending on your phase) is an unrevealed falls. The trek maybe tiring and is sure to test your endurance since you will be crossing 3 mountains (so our guide said) but the view is majestic and is guaranteed a feast for your eyes.

4. Go wading at the falls. After the (not so long) hike is this sanctuary- the falls with no name but with charm and comeliness one can not deny.

5. Witness the mountains turn golden during sunrise.

6. Marvel at sundown.

7. Gather by the bonfire at night. Roast mallows. Have some booze.

8. Have an ultimate beach bumming experience. Swim. Boat. Float. Ride the wave. Or simply walk lazily by the shore.

9. Rest and unplug. There are no phone signals in this place. Enjoy a day devoid of FB, Twitter and IG. Daydream, enjoy the serenity and the silence, stargaze, feel the earth.

10. Buy local. Native Aetas sell products in the area. Buy something to take home and help our 'katutubo's'.

I had a wonderful stay at Nagsasa. I was mesmerized by its charm and beauty. Truly , one of the best place for rest and relaxation. A perfect getaway even for those who are tight in budget.

Aprub!
