Summer in Manila is always a vibe, but there’s something
extra magical about spending it within the limestone walls of the old city. If
you’re looking for the ultimate way to cap off your April, look no further. The
Intramuros Summer Festival 2026 is officially taking over Fort Santiago this
April 25, and trust me, you don’t want to miss this one.
Whether you're a history geek, a foodie, or just someone
looking for that perfect OPM sunset backdrop, the Walled City has curated a day
that hits all the right notes.
A Day Full of Heritage and Heart
The festivities kick off early, and for a good cause! From
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, there’s a Medical Mission providing free check-ups and
dental services in partnership with the UST Health Service. It’s a beautiful
reminder that this festival is as much about community as it is about
celebration.
As you wander through Plaza Moriones, keep an eye out for
the Interactive Booths (8:00 AM – 2:30 PM). We’re talking:
Shop 'Til You Drop (and Eat!)
- Baybayin Tutorials to reconnect with our roots.
- Historia Viviente Manila exhibits featuring period costumes.
- On-the-spot painting and Philippine history puzzles.
What’s a festival without a bit of a splurge? The Pop-up Market will be running from 8:00 AM all the way until 11:00 PM. Expect a curated selection of artisan crafts, local textiles, and—of course—street food that will keep your energy up for the long day ahead. It’s the perfect spot to find a unique souvenir or just grab a quick bite between activities.
As the heat of the afternoon fades, the historic grounds of
Fort Santiago will transform into one massive outdoor concert hall. Starting at
4:00 PM, prepare to sing your heart out with an OPM lineup that is absolute
fire:
Imagine screaming the lyrics to "Jopay" or swaying
to "Burnout" while surrounded by centuries-old stone walls. The
acoustics of the Walled City hitting different under a summer sky? Chef’s kiss.
The Golden Ticket: The Intramuros Passport
- Hale
- Ebe Dancel
- This Band
- Mayonnaise
To get exclusive access to the concert area and level up your experience, you’ll need the Intramuros Passport. For only ₱350, this isn't just a ticket—it’s your key to the city.
The theme this year is Vibrant Retro Summer. Think loud prints, vintage shades, high-waisted shorts, and breezy linens. It’s time to raid your parents' closets or hit up the nearest thrift shop to find that perfect "Old Manila meets Summer Chic" look.
