My go-to place for a family-friendly resort is Villa Excellance Beach and Wave Pool Resort. It's close proximity to Manila makes it an ideal place to visit if you're looking for fun and relaxation. You know I have an affinity with beaches but sometimes I prefer something less salty.

On this visit, we stayed at a Superior Seaview Villa which can accommodate 4-8 pax. It's a cute 2-storey house with 4 double-sized bed and comes with a mini-ref, a Smart TV, a well-functioning AC unit on both floors and a wardrobe cabinet and an office table on the 2nd floor. The unit also has an ensuite toilet and bath complete with basic toiletries and clean towels. We have a WiFi connection, too.

I love how immaculate the beddings are and the mattress has the right firmness. After a fun day at the pool and festivities, you bet I slept like a baby.

We arrived at the resort around lunch and before checking-in at our room, we had a sumptuous lunch at the Pavillion. We were served sizzling sisig and sinigang na hipon. We must have been super hungry and the meal was really tasty, we begged for more rice.
Really, if there's anything I laud about Villa Excellance besides their amenities, it's the food! Everything tastes great, you know their chef and F & B manager and staff are doing a good job.
We had a buffet for breakfast at the Grand Ballroom. Again, our tummies were happy and we had enough to fuel us for the morning. I love their tapa, danggit and champorado. Their hot choco reminds me of tsokolate batirol in Baguio and is never to be missed!

And before we checked out the next day, we feasted on a local pansit, ginataang gulay and beef with brocolli and mini cakes for dessert. Yum!

WAVES OF FUN

Villa Excellance is a 7-hectare property. I have been here several times and I am always amazed because they always have new features and improvements so there's something to look forward to.
This waterpark has 8 swimming pools with 2 wave pools and 3 pools with slide. It was fun pool-hopping and experiencing the water slides. You can say our inner child were happy. Personally, I love the wave pool. A honk signals the wave. When you hear it, go immediately to the wave pool! There's also a bubble bath while we enjoyed the ripple.

There are kiddie pools too for the young ones. Even me, who is young at heart, enjoyed the pools for the kids.
Always present are the lifeguards who are very proactive in their duties. This ensures that the water activities are safe and secured for everyone.

The main reason for my visit this time is to experience the OCTOWAVEFEST. I have experienced this last year and I had so much fun, I promised I'll be back again this year. I love the new venue of this event. Last year, they had it by the beach side and now they have a bigger and better venue for this event.
We enjoyed the platter meals and drinks. There were also fun games and a photobooth. The night really came alive with the live band performances that had us sang along and stomped our feet. We even had a fun Zumba session, because even if you're drinking, you still should practice healthy living.

There were fire dancers too and towards the middle of the event, they had a spectacular fireworks display. How awesome is that!

- Take E3/R-1 to Cesa Rd in Tanza
- Follow Cesa Rd to your destination
Via Commute
From PITX, ride a bus going to Naic (Tanza). Make sure to ask the driver if it will pass by Postema. Watch out on your left for McDonald's Micara Tanza. Depart at Sahud-Ulan, Sitio Postema. There's a small signage of Villa Excellance at the corner. Ride a trike to Villa Excellance. We paid 70 pesos for 2.
