That Thing Called 'Ginhawa'

The past two weeks had been stressful. I felt heaviness in my body and was in dire need of a massage.

Last week, I tagged along a good bud to try Ginhawa Spa and Dining. It was 10 minutes away from where I work and seems the perfect place to relieve me of body and mental stress.

Upon entrance, we were greeted by this:

Isn't this inviting? :)

We got the 'Ciudad' package (priced at P850/ head). It includes a private cuarto-baño, personal sauna, 45 minute full- body massage and a four-course meal.

Our spacious private room and bath.

After taking a quick shower, we headed to the sauna. We stayed here for 15 minutes. I guess I sweat a bucket!

On our robes before heading to the sauna.

The sauna. Sorry guys, no pictures of us inside. :P

We took another quick shower after the sauna and then had our body massage.

The massage therapist were well trained and excellent. The calming music and the aroma in our room added to the relaxing feeling. We were handed tea after the treatment.

And then we had our dinner. Chef Xander, the resident chef of Ginhawa, was very accommodating and gave a brief description of each meal.

For that night, we were served:

 Chicken and corn soup

 Appetizer: Sesame soba salad

Main entree: Turmeric rice and chicken skewers

Dessert: Belgian waffle and ice cream

It was a gastronomic feast! Everything were flavorful and deliciously good! The sesame soba salad was sobrang sarap. The main entree, I can eat that forever!

Aprub!

BTW, did I say that I loved their dining area? It's called the Comedor.

The Spanish feel of this area was cool!

We had a wonderful experience at Ginhawa Spa and Dining. The staff were courteous, the hands well trained, the treatment was truly relaxing, the place is clean, great ambience and excellent food. We headed home feeling rejuvenated and in bliss. Truly, it was 'maginhawa' and one of the best 'spamper' (Spa Pamper) I've had. Really a nice way to unwind!

I'll surely come back again.

  1. In Thailand, aroma therapy with full body scrub for 1 hr and 45mins cost around 850THB but no food included! But with Ginhawa, they included a 4-course meal sa spa package! Bonggels haha! A must try indeed!
