Helping Hand

Typhoon Ondoy left many homeless. Many had nothing to eat. Thousands have been greatly devastated. At this time of crisis, many were eager to share a hand..Many were willing to support the victims. Small or big, many gave their share. Yes, Bayanihan is still alive.

3 days after Ondoy's wrath, I and 2 other friends went to volunteer in Red Cross QC. I saw in a facebook post that they are in need of volunteers. Since I am tight of budget and it's a lil hard for me to donate goods, I thought I can volunteer packing goods instead. I immediately took half day from work and off we went there.
Dulce, donated a box of noodles. Many were buying goods to donate too. Orchids to all of them who had a big heart!

di sa amin yan..hehehe..the siblings in front of us bought that..they are also donating..saya!
At Red Cross, there was an exodus of volunteers! Everybody wants to help really.

eager volunteers registering..

Here at our company, we extended some help too. Two of our colleagues were greatly affected too. Syempre, sino pa ba ang magdadamayan?
The management released funds for the calamity stricken. We also donated goods for the other victims. I was assigned to spearhead the donation giving.
We bought 3 boxes of canned goods, bath soaps, powdered soap, biscuits, coffee, powdered milk
We dropped our donations at White Space Makati. The volunteers were really 'bibo'. In no time at all, our donations have been packed already! Ang liliksi nila.

andami!!
more goods to share!

these volunteers never get tired..hats off!
I wish I can extend more help. Northern and Central Luzon are still experiencing Pepeng's wrath. Our NCR kababayan is still in great need of help.
Let us continue to pray for the many victims of these recent calamities.

Count your blessings.
