Magical. Enchanting. Marvelous: My Balloon Fest Ph Experience

I've always looked forward to attending the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. There's something about things that fly that fascinates me. Last Feb. 11, Day 1 of BalloonFestPh, I had the chance to witness this wonderful event along with fellow bloggers.

We were already at Subic the day before the fiesta opened. During the night of Feb 10, I had the privilege of taking part in the welcome dinner by the organizers.

We woke up early the following day. Eager to watch the balloons being inflated, we were at the area by 5am. We had a photo pass and had the best area to witness everything up close.

The Philippine Air Force Marching Band opened the first day of festivities. During the singing of the National Anthem, a sky diver came down carrying the Philippine flag. Amazing!

Capt. Joy Roa officially opened the event. Not so soon the balloons were ready to lift off.

 Ain't these adorable?

And then..

I felt being a kid once again as these balloons flew up the sky. I only see them in movies and to see them up close- it was magical! The kid in me was happy.

The event wasn't all about hot air balloons. There were air show, sky divers and paragliders too. One can also fly kite. We were blessed to have a fair weather that day.

Air crafts are also exhibited.

One won't feel famished as there are plenty of food stalls. There are souvenir items too.

The Air Force booth is also an attraction.

We sure had a fun day and this definitely one trip I will never forget. Til next year for the 21st Balloon Fest Ph!
