Up Close And Personal with David Jung

I had the chance to eat at the posh and newest steak house in the metro-Chateaubriand, recently. This place offers unli churrasco plus more- indeed a haven for grilled meat lovers! (We have a running giveaway in Instagram and you might just score yourself and your date, a buffet dinner at Chateaubriand. Check this link for the mechanics. Joining the giveaway is until October 5 only so hurry!)

During my lovely dinner at Chateaubriand, I had the chance of meeting David Jung- an up- and- coming actor from Korea, who I'm sure will be loved by many Pinoys.

He is very friendly, and be very easy to talk to. He sings really well and he has antics distinctly his own. He has done some bit roles in ABS CBN and hopefully we can see more of him soon.

Let's get to know David Jung more.

PROFILE:

NAME. David Jung
AGE. 23
HEIGHT. 5'11
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND. Former training from Korean Entertainment

YOU SEEM TO SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL. HOW DID YOU LEARN THE LANGUAGE?

I lived in Malaysia for several years and I think that’s where I enhanced my English speaking skills. So yeah, I speak my native tongue, I also know how to speak Malaysian and Tagalog 'pero konti lang'.

WHAT WAS YOUR REASON FOR CHOOSING TO STAY IN THE PHILIPPINES?

Philippines has nice people and  are really hospitable. I heard the showbiz industry here is getting better, and the actors and actress here are really good so I want to work with them.

WHAT IS THAT YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THIS COUNTRY?

Filipinos are so kind, friendly and jolly. I feel happy when I see them smile. I love the food here- they are really delicious!

HAVE YOU VISITED SOME PLACES HERE? WHERE AND WHAT’S THE FONDEST MEMORY THAT YOU HAVE?

I've been to Bicol, Cebu, and Pampanga and I fell in love with those places. I tried doing the sky bike in Legazpi. It was so cool yet very scary. It is also my first time do have experienced doing that and it's one of the fondest memories I have here.

I HEARD YOU LOVE EATING FILIPINO DELICACIES. WHAT HAVE YOU TRIED?

I like Sisig. I also have tried balut. I like putting salt on it and dipping it in vinegar. But what I love most is the Turon! It is very cheap but very delicious. Every time I'm in this mall, I make sure I buy turon. It's the best!

I SAW YOU DO A CAMEO ROLE IN ONE ABSCBN ‘TELESERYE’ AND YES, YOU’RE A GREAT SINGER TOO. WHICH DO YOU LOVE DOING MORE?

I love singing but I want to be an actor here in Philippines.

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT PINAYS? WILL YOU CONSIDER GOING OUT ON A DATE WITH A FILIPINA?

Filipinas are pretty. Dating is something that is not really my priority for now. I’m not allowed to have a relationship and I want to focus more first with my career.
