Ded na si Lolo

I've seen this Indie Film last weekend with my friend Dani.

Ded na si Lolo is the 2nd flick featured for the Sine Direk Festival.Ded na si Lolo highlights the superstitions that Filipinos hold when it comes to death. Through the eyes of a young boy (played by BJ Forbes), moviegoers will also see the economics involved in burying our beloved dead.

This is indeed a hilarious movie written and directed by Soxie Topacio.Casts include La Oro,Gina Alajar,Manilyn Reynes, Dick Ysrael and Roderick Paulate.

Of course, every Filipino can relate to the many superstitions involved in the passing away of our loved ones.

I fell off my seat from laughing with the so many funny scenes in the movie. Mosang who played kapitana slash funeral coordinator was equally funny.

The many cameo exposures are indeed a surprise too. Diego, Pekto, Belly Flori, Noel Cabangon, Deborah Sun and several more appeared on the movie.

Syempre punong-puno ng drama ang bawat lamay, and this had been shown in the film too. The many revelations found during one's passing away , the secrets exposed and feelings expressed are very Pinoy.

And who won the title of Best actress during the big day,the libing? Was it La Oro, Gina A. , Manilyn, Mosang or Roderick? You have to watch the movie to find out.=)

Definitely a movie to watch. With the so many beautiful Indies shown already, I guess it's about time that we moviegoers support this trend in the movie industry.

Here's the trailer of the movie:
